Sambonim William F. Velez
His teachers were three:
Sifu Chung Li, Sifu Brother li, Sifu Unleong. From these three came the foundation of
the KIDO System.
In the next generation: there is Teddy Collazo, Jose Hernandez, Ruby Vasquez, and Ruben Torres.
Under the tuteledge of Ruben Torres, there is:
Jean Therency, Kurt Pitt, Jose Cruz, Ciera Lawson, Ron Pettie.
The current Director for the
KIDO MARTIAL ARTS CENTER is
Jose Hernandez, 1st generation KIDO student. He is a Miami Police officer. His son, Justin Hernandez is trained by Ruben Torres, and is now living in Florida.
This system is taught as originally presented in 1970.
The latest developments (1982-present)
in KIDO
are expressed in the KIDO RYU SYSTEM.
The KIDO RYU system is developed and taught by Ruben Torres.
An individual expression of KIDO with its many additions over the years to the curriculum.
